"Impressive Shed Experience!"
Impressive Shed Experience! I purchased a garden shed through the internet. Yep, a garden shed. The service was fantastic, and I want to give a big shout out to Angus. He ensured that everything went smoothly with the delivery since we live in a semi-rural area, and the delivery guy was great. Huge thanks! We're currently clearing out space for it, and fingers crossed, it’ll be set up in a couple of weeks.

I ordered a Garden Shed online. Yes a garden shed. Amazing service and special shout out to Angus. He made sure that the delivery was going to plan as we live semi rural and the delivery guy was awesome. Thank you so much. We are just making space for it and hopefully it will be up in a couple of weeks time..

"Delivery Service Needs Improvement"
I ordered a Sofabed online and requested delivery for a month later since I was out of town. I got a confirmation email for my order, but then I received a message from customer service saying the Sofabed was delivered a week earlier. Apparently, the courier team had to take it back because no one was home. I shot off another email to customer service to remind them of the delivery date we agreed on. They replied saying it would take about a week instead of the promised 5 working days. On the day we had settled on, I was waiting for the courier to call me, but no one reached out. I decided to call Briscoes' hotline, and after a long wait, I finally got through to someone who was trying to help. They told me to send another email for customer service to look into it. After two days, I finally got a call from the courier team saying they were on their way. What really surprised me was that the delivery guy just left my sofabed in the lobby instead of taking it up one level with the escalator. This level of service is just not okay.

"Poor delivery service"
Purchased a Sofabed online with the request for the delivery one month later with a specified date as I was out of town at that time, and then received a confirmation email on my order. However, got an email from customer service that the Sofabed was delivered to my home one week’s later. I was told that the courier team had to ship back the item as no one received. I then sent another email to customer service to remind them the agreed delivery date when I ordered the item. And the response given was around one week’s time instead of 5 working days as pledged in their email. On the agreed delivery date, I was expecting the courier team would contact me when they would arrive but unfortunately no one called. So I tried to contact the hotline of Briscoes as shown in the email and after waiting for several couples of minutes, I finally get reached of someone trying to figure out the issue. But I was told to write another email for the customer service to follow up and after 2 days, I finally got the call from the courier team and they were on the way to deliver the item. What I was so amused that the delivery guy just dropped my sofabed at the lobby of my apartment instead of sending it up one level by escalator. This kind of customer service and delivery is totally unacceptable.

"You can find better deals elsewhere..."
You can snag better prices on AliExpress, Temu, or other sites for way less than half the cost. Feels like we’ve been taken for a ride on a bunch of stuff. That weekly sale? Total scam. I just can’t wrap my head around how easily Kiwis fall for this.

You can buy cheaper most of the products on AliExpress or Temu or other websites for less than half price. It seems that we have been ripped off on many items. The weekly sale is fake. I can’t believe that Kiwis are gullible.

"My Experience with a Tefal Convection Oven Order"
I placed an order for a Tefal Convection Oven through the internet, and it was listed as in stock at the Dunedin Store. Now, I’m based in Mosgiel, which is just 17 kilometers from Briscoes Dunedin. Can you believe it? Instead of shipping it from the Dunedin location, someone thought it was a good idea to send one all the way from New Plymouth up in the North Island. Just ridiculous! I’m really fed up with this company; it’s not well managed at all.

I ordered a Tefal Convection Oven online which was available in the Dunedin Store. I live Mosgiel 17km away from Briscoes Dunedin. Would you believe instead of couriering from the Dunedin Store some individual decided they would send one from NewPlymouth in the North Island. Unbelievable! I have had it with this Company it is poorly run

"Shopping Experience"
I bought an outdoor dining set with a table and chairs. I included some basic delivery notes. The delivery process was a total mess; I had to ring Briscoes five times for updates, and every time they promised to call me back. Eventually, I reached out to the courier, Toll, who were fantastic, to sort things out. But then Briscoes contacted Toll and provided incorrect details, leading to the suite being sent to the wrong place. Luckily, Toll managed to deliver it to the right address. Honestly, I've never dealt with such awful and incompetent customer service. Seriously, just buy from someone else—anyone else!

"Online purchase"
Purchased an outdoor dinning table and chairs. added some simple delivery instructions. Delivery was a nightmare, called briscos 5 times to get an update and for delivery and was told each time they would get back to be , in the end I contacted the courier ( toll, who were great ) to get the delivery sorted , but then briscos got in touch with toll and again gave wrong information and the suite was delivered to the wrong address? Thankfully Toll brought it to the correct address, seriously never experienced such poor and incompetent customer service. Buy from someone else anybody else !

"Briscoes Fails to Honor Their Guarantee"
I purchased a trio of pots that came with a 25-year warranty. A year in, one pot's lid wasn't sealing right, but we dealt with it. Fast forward 18 months, and the lid on another pot broke—the part that lets you lift it came off entirely. There was no way to fix it since gluing glass to plastic just doesn’t cut it. I reached out to Briscoes, and they said they would send replacement lids. But when I checked back two weeks later, I got an email saying they changed their mind because two years had gone by since I bought them. That's just not acceptable. What happened to being 'fit for purpose' and the consumer guarantees act? I won't be shopping at Briscoes again.

"Briscoes does not stand by guarantee"
I bought a set of three pots which came with a 25-year guarantee. A year later the lid on one pot was not sealing correctly but we put up with it, 18 months later the lid on a second pot broke - the attachment so you can lift the lid came away completely. It was not possible to repair as gluing glass and plastic doesn't work. I contacted Briscoes and was told they would replace the lids. two weeks later when I followed up I was told via email they had decided not to replace the lids as 2 years had passed since the purchase. Not good enough. What about being "fit for purpose" and the consumer guarantees act? I won't buy from Briscoes again.

"Extremely Frustrated with My Order"
Honestly, if I could give this a zero, I totally would. I ordered some glassware on March 15th, and by the 25th, it still hadn’t shown up. I checked the tracking info and saw it was marked as delivered. So, I reached out to the courier service to explain the situation, and they opened an investigation. But just two days later, I found out it was closed without any resolution. I then emailed Briscoes, only to get an automated reply saying it could take up to five working days for a response, along with a reference number. Tried again today, and guess what? Same old automated message. Finally, my neighbor returned from a trip today and told me she had a package for me! Turns out, it was my order, delivered to the wrong place. I’m really disappointed with both Briscoes and their courier service, and I want to file a formal complaint because this whole experience is just unacceptable.

"If I could rate this as zero I would"
If I could rate this as zero I would. Ordered online glassware 15th March, by the 25th I had not received so checked the tracking only to see it had been delivered. Contacted the courier company and explained and an investigation was created. Only to find 2 days later it had been closed. So contacted Briscoes via there contact email, only to be given an automated response that it could take up to 5 working days for them to respond and a number. I tried again today only to be given the same response. Eventually my neighbour arrived back from overseas (today) to inform me she had a parcel that was addressed to me!!! It was my order. So it had been delivered to the wrong address. I find Briscoes and their courier company poor, and would like to make a formal complaint as I feel this is unacceptable.

"VERIFY YOUR FINAL PRICE"
VERIFY YOUR FINAL PRICE. I recently purchased an item from the site that was ON SALE. However, the click and collect option wasn’t available until the next day. In between the different screens, the sale got canceled, I assume because it wasn’t valid on the collection day, even though we were making the payment during the sale period. We’re splitting the payments through Afterpay, and it could be super easy to just click and lose that extra cash if you’re not paying close attention or aren’t too savvy with computers. Especially if you’ve got several items in your cart! It feels really shady.
